My Hero Academia has finally at long last gotten an anime adaptation and thus far it has not disappointed. With the fantastic 2 part adaptation of the first chapter we really got to feel each moment out and let the emotion really be felt. Also in this latest episode (ep 3) we get our first look at many of the other heroes we will come to know and love, such as Ida and Ochako! I really am loving the pacing of the anime and it seems like a show of confidence on the part of BONES that they are not rushing through the material and instead giving it the loving detail this modern shonen epic needs. It will sure be interesting to see certain scenes adapted in the next few weeks, especially #TeamDeku vs #TeamBakugo which should funnily enough coincide with the release of Captain America: Civil War. I'm #TeamCap and #TeamDeku FYI. So what did we all think of the latest episode finally taking us to the titular Academy?

BONES does good work and they haven't let me down with this adaptation. On a side note, I seriously love the soundtrack for this show. It fit in perfectly with the fight in EP 2 and the training montage in EP 3. May have to pick it up at some point. I really like the slow pacing too. Usually they would have just thrown the first two episodes into one which would have killed the character building to get to the fight scene quicker and they probably would have squished EP 3 and 4 into one by starting the episode at the Academy and having an off hand comment about the 10 month training. As for EP 3 as a whole: Not all that much to say, Had some very uplifting moments and visual gags with All Might but it was all building towards the next episode which is looking to be a good one! Ochako is voiced by Ayane Sakura which automatically makes her my favourite character

Music in Anime is a huge deal for me. Even with series like Bleach that were notoriously bad in wuality, it still had a good soundtrack with songs I can remember even now, so I'd count that as a win, albeit a small one. I like the music in My Hero Academia because, I don't know if anyone noticed, but there were lyrics in the song played during the beach cleanup montage, and though it doesnt seem too important, I think lyrics add another layer to the music that just can't be emulated. I'm really enjoying it.

Yeah, Lyrics in soundtracks are seriously underused. It's what made the Xenoblade X soundtrack extra special to me. If you ignore the occasional Engrish haha

Episode 4 just crash landed and it looks like our lovable hero Izuku has made it into U.A. academia after a rough time in the entrance exam. I must say I love the style and animation used for his quirk One for All it was not exactly as I imagined from the manga, colour wise at the very least but I must say it looked great and you could really feel the power behind the punch.
Also it was great seeing the connection between Izuku and Ochako explored here and the bond they form in these early days.
What did you guys think of this latest ep?

Finally gave in and watched the latest episode and as expected Izuku is a total badass in his own way! Izuku is cowardly and over thinks things but at the end of it he's the only one to step up to save the day while everyone else ran for it, Seriously loving his character right now. Ochako was cool too, Instantly repaying the favour by stopping Izuku's fall and then later trying to give him some of her points. This frog Girl of yours better live up to the hype Luke haha >

Wow what a stretch of episodes we have just witnessed. What did everyone think of the fated encounter between Deku and Kacchan? I must say that having read the manga, damn BONES you did a great job on this fight. The first ever Detroit Smash for one looked absolutely radical and the emotion and character driven moments of this episode made it more than just a 'big fight' episode. What did you guys think on this one?
