This show took me by complete surprise and has quickly become one of my most anticipated shows each week so what better thing to do than try to give other energy burdened fools people to a weekly dosage of listlessness. The three episodes aired so far have been great and my favourite scene so far is where Miyano, A girl who wishes to be Tanaka's apprentice in Listlessness, Tries to keep her cool after being offered a coupon for a Donut shop. A pattern I've noticed is that the end of each episode teases at the next character who's going to intrude into Tanaka's peaceful life, If the OP is any indication this'll probably hold up until a half dozen or so people are introduced.

OKay so I just watched this upon your recommendation and having seen only the first episode I can say that this seems like a very fun slice of life series with quite an original concept. I love the bond between Tanaka and Ota. I'd like to see their friendship detailed as the show goes on with a bit of exploration into how they became mates.
I can see that there will be a lot of potential in this series and I think I will continue on with it. Thanks for the recommendation. Also the OP theme is great.

Ota is such a chill dude for putting up with Tanaka so I too hope it goes into that backstory a bit. I'd imagine it'd start going a bit deeper into the characters, For a slice of life anyway, once most of the main cast is in.
The OP is a nice change from the usual pop/rock OPs anime usually get, ED is nice too.

Miyano is the most interesting character so far, I was so happy when she turned up - I think the second episode improved on the first. Although the first suffered from my main issue with this show, which is that I seem to get to it in the mornings and it makes me feel sleepy haha

I can see how that can be a problem haha, I've found it makes a great show to watch to end the weekend and prepare for Monday mornings. Really reminds me of the same feelings I had with Non Non Biyori, That show was the most relaxing anime i've come across.

I keep hearing about Non Non Biyori, I'll have to check it out one day. Flying Witch is getting comparisons to that as well for being a nice relaxing show (although it feels pretty upbeat in comparison to Tanaka-kun!)

Definitely check it out when you have the chance, Can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a show about good friends just hanging out and nothing comes close to matching its peaceful atmosphere.
I really need to get around to starting Flying Witch because from what I've heard it sounds totally my style. I'm even up to date on all five of my shows this season which hasn't happened in ages, So another show couldn't hurt!

Playing catch up over the last two weeks but the latest episodes have pretty much made Ota my favourite character in the show. Really glad this ones still going strong because most of the other shows I'm watching have turned rather average.

I need to keep going with this one but I've gotten behind on most of my shows so its a catch up all around.

I'm also behind on everything at the moment! Ota was pretty much confirmed as my favourite character within the first few episodes so I definitely look forward to catching up on the latest ones.
